Guide / agency selection

Choosing a PR Agency for a Press Conference in India

How to compare PR agencies in Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and other cities by media relevance, scope, evidence, venue logistics and ethical outreach.

From brief to delivery
01Plan the announcement
02Coordinate the details
03Connect with the press

Scope agreed in writing. People at every step.

Searching for a PR agency in Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad or Bhopal? Start with the reporting job, not a “best agency” ranking. Ask for a relevant project example, a clear scope and current local supplier terms before comparing prices.

Write a comparable brief

Specify the announcement, industry, city, languages, date range, spokesperson, target desks and deliverables. Separate story development, earned media invitations, press materials, venue, AV and any paid placement. A company promising a fixed number of independent news articles is not offering the same service as one that coordinates invitations and evidence.

Five checks for each proposal

  1. Can the team show relevant, verifiable work in your sector and city without claiming every historic clipping as proof of its role?
  2. Who handles reporter questions, factual corrections, translation and after-hours changes?
  3. What does the quote include and exclude: venue, cameras, catering, travel, taxes and cancellation?
  4. Are press contacts approached professionally and with a story suited to their beat, rather than by bulk personal-number messaging?
  5. Which outcome measures are within the agency's control, and which depend on independent journalists?
