Searches for “white house press conference”, “white house press conference live”, “white house live press conference”, “live white house press conference” and “white house press briefing” all point to the same need: the institution's own pages. This post lists them and explains what each one contains. It is not a live feed, a schedule or a news report.
The four pages that matter
- The livestream page carries the White House Live channel and the 24/7 Trump TV channel, and states plainly when a stream is off air between events.
- Briefings and statements is the written archive of briefing statements and releases, with the most recent first.
- Remarks carries the president's written remarks and speeches, which is where the quotable text of a public appearance usually sits.
- The video library holds briefing and event video, including a press-briefings playlist.

How to check that an event is really on
The official site embeds one fixed YouTube video for both channels, so a player that appears active may simply be showing the standing station feed. Confirm the date and the announced time on the event notice, and read the written statement for anything you intend to quote. For a briefing, the video is the record: the White House does not publish verbatim transcripts of press-conference questions and answers, so quoting from a clip needs care and attribution.
The searches people use
- “white house press conference”, “white house press conference live”: confirm the date on the briefings and statements page before you describe an event as happening.
- “white house live press conference”, “live white house press conference”: these lead to the livestream page, which shows an off-air message between events.
- “white house press briefing”, “the white house press briefing”: the written archive is the version to quote, cite or screenshot, because it carries the date and the full text.
What this page does not do
PRS does not run a White House desk, mirror a broadcaster's video, publish transcripts or maintain a real-time event schedule, and we do not confirm or predict who holds any government role. Two similarly named YouTube channels are not linked from whitehouse.gov, so we do not list them as official. The pages above were checked on 4 November 2026; their contents change, so recheck the publisher.
